Transforming a Facility Into a Brand Experience

UTSA Athletics recently unveiled a new facility that serves as the home for the football program, featuring a practice field, weight room, sports medicine, and administrative offices. As part of the Creative Services team, I contributed to shaping the building's visual identity by developing environmental graphics and providing creative solutions that extended the UTSA Athletics brand throughout the space.

A key part of my role was collaborating with a local vendor to ensure every installation accurately reflected the university's brand standards, including proper logo usage, typography, and color application. I prepared production-ready artwork, photography, and presentation mockups to help visualize each concept before fabrication and installation. In addition, I designed environmental graphics for the main administrative hallway and Academic Center.

My objective was to create bold yet clean designs that complemented the architecture while reinforcing the identity of UTSA Athletics. Throughout the facility, each space was designed with a distinct purpose. The main entrance introduces the Roadrunner Game Plan, representing the program's commitment to excellence. The administrative hallway features "Go Runners," capturing the energy and pride of game day. Within the Academic Center, one wall celebrates the impact of student-athlete community service, while Developing Champions highlights the program's commitment to academic achievement and graduation. Together, these spaces create a cohesive environment that reflects the culture, values, and future of UTSA Athletics.
