overview & outcome
UTSA Athletics recently unveiled a new facility for our Athletics Program. This new facility is home for our Football program needs of practice field, weight room, sports medicine to new offices for administration. As part of of Creative Services we were part of the process making sure our branding in the building was correct and providing additional creative solutions for other areas in the building.
The challenge for me was working with local vendor to make sure they have the proper branding such as logos, typography and colors. Prepping photography and samples for the vendor to better visualize before executing any wall vinyls or strutting in the building. I was tasked with creating additional wall designs for our main administrative hallway and Academic Center for our student-athletes.
My main goal was to make these environmental designs simple yet bold and colorful matching our current branding standards. I utilized photography that emphasized the focal points our program wanted to touch upon to represent UTSA Athletics. Main hall starts with focus of our Roadrunner Game Plan that showcases our strategy to achieve excellence.Down the main hallway is where “Go Runners” is represented in spirit of UTSA game days. Inside Academic Center, right wall touches upon our student-athlete Community Service. Across the room is Developing Champions to represent the academic/graduation goal set in the classroom.
