director of Graphic Design for the UTEP Miners rooted in el paso, tx
path & layers
My path in branding and graphic design really began at UTSA. Working with the Roadrunners taught me how visuals can carry a story, connect a community, and build pride. That experience in San Antonio sparked my passion for bringing brands to life.
Transitioning to the XFL marked a pivotal point in my career, where I embraced the challenge of designing within the fast-paced realm of professional sports. This role not only expanded my technical proficiency but also deepened my understanding of audience engagement strategies, shaping my approach to creating impactful visual communications.
Today, as Director of Graphic Design for the UTEP Miners, I bring a wealth of expertise to amplify the university's brand presence and enhance its visual identity across various platforms. My previous experience in broadcast and video production has equipped me to deliver a seamless game day experience for UTEP sporting events. Every stage of my career has reinforced my focus on crafting strategic, meaningful design solutions that elevate the brand and leave a lasting impression.
CMD + Me
Undo my layers as an El Paso native and proud UTEP alum, I draw inspiration from the city that shaped both my creativity and perspective. I enjoy exploring El Paso’s hidden gems, embracing its rich culture, and connecting with the community that continues to influence my work. Moving back to El Paso has deepened my appreciation for the people and places that make this city home.
Outside of my professional life, I’m a lifelong wrestling fan and an avid supporter of the San Antonio Spurs—always inspired by the energy and storytelling that sports bring to life. I also find creativity in the worlds of Marvel and Star Wars, where imagination knows no bounds. And when it’s time to unwind, The Office remains my go-to that makes me laugh and lighten up my day.
At the heart of it all, my family is my greatest inspiration—the constant source of encouragement that keeps me going. They remind me daily of what truly matters. Whether it’s a weekend drive for our favorite drinks or a quiet movie night at home with our four dogs, those simple, shared moments bring me balance, joy, and gratitude.
