Turning a Rally Cry Into a Citywide Movement

The City of San Antonio officially proclaimed February 10 as “UTSA 210 Day,” celebrating the continued growth of UTSA Athletics and the powerful connection between the Roadrunners and the city they represent. The celebration highlights the program’s accomplishments, including 80 combined conference championships and 60 NCAA postseason appearances, while recognizing the “Let’s Go 210” rally cry that has become a symbol of pride throughout the community.

More than just a celebration of athletics, UTSA 210 Day represents the shared identity between the university and San Antonio. Rooted in the city’s iconic 210 area code, the campaign helped strengthen community engagement by bringing together students, alumni, fans, and local leaders around a unified message of pride and support for the Roadrunners.

The goal was to unite the city and rally support around our university. Through partnerships with the Mayor of San Antonio, local City Council, athletics, and student organizations, the campaign expanded beyond campus to create a citywide movement built on pride, engagement, and community support.

The campaign evolved into a multi-channel brand activation, extending from digital content into in-stadium experiences, including a football flag reveal, banners, shirts, rally towels, and campus-wide initiatives that united the university community.

The campaign expanded into the community through branded banners displayed by local businesses, including the San Antonio Zoo and local automotive dealerships. These partnerships helped increase visibility, create broader awareness, and encourage the San Antonio community to embrace and participate in the rally cry throughout the season.
